Home Prices…Where are they Headed?

Today, many real estate conversations center on housing prices and where they may be headed. That is why the Home Price Expectation Survey is seen to be a reliable source. Every quarter, Pulsenomics surveys a nationwide panel of over one hundred economists, real estate experts and investment & market strategists about where prices are headed over the next five years. They then average the projections of all 100+ experts into a single number.
The results of their latest survey
  • Home values will appreciate by 4.6% in 2014.
  • The cumulative appreciation will be 19.5% by 2018.
  • That means the average annual appreciation will be 3.6% over the next 5 years.
  • Even the experts making up the most bearish quartile of the survey still are projecting a cumulative appreciation of 11.2% by 2018.
Individual opinions make headlines. We believe the survey is a fairer depiction of future values.

Chicago is said to be a city in a garden, and with over 500 green spaces its easy to see why.

Grant Park & Millennium Park stretched along the lakefront are two of Chicago's most prominent parks.

Pritzker Pavilion serves as the centerpiece for Millennium Park and is the new home of the Grant Park Symphony Orchestra and Chorus and the Grant Park Music Festival, the nation's only remaining free outdoor classical music series. It also hosts a wide range of music series, annual performing arts events and even hosts physical fitness activities such as yoga.

Hamptons Trip 2011

My latest travels brought me to Amagansett NY, tucked between East Hampton and Montauk.   The days were filled with sailing and sand between the toes.  And let’s not forget all the fabulous food the coast has to offer!

Members

Delicious lobster rolls!

Wolffer Estate, Twilight Thursdays at Wölffer Estate Winery! Live music drifts across the vineyard…find your favorite spot on the patio and enjoy wines by the glass, cheese & charcuterie plates!
ABA for some sand betweenthe toes!

Cyrils for happy hour!
The infamous Bailey's Banana Colada (or BBC, as the regulars call it)

Then to The Meeting House...  for Blood Orange Margaritas!!!!

No trip to Amagansett would be complete without the Shore Dinner at Devon Yatch Club!

The unlimited raw bar & fresh steamed lobsters that never stop coming out is just one of the many highlights we look forward to.

Life is good when you are at the beach!

Zoo Ball: Hollywood and Vines

On Friday, July 8, 2011, the grounds of Lincoln Park Zoo was transformed into the Golden Age of Hollywood glamour. "Guests strolled the red carpet into to THE social event of the summer season as the paparazzi beckons for a photo. Cool cocktails, perfectly-chilled flutes of champagne and oh-so-dry martinis was abound in the Flamingo lounge. A delicious seated dinner prepared to the highest of culinary standards  delighted as the band heated up the coolest of crowds and guests dance the night away."
